Performance

As a performer, Cade's number one goal is always to tell the story. While that may seem simple, in practice it requires bravery, specificity, and a vice grip-like focus on others in scene work. Bravery in performance is the recognition that the entire stage is a playground with infinite possibilities at any given time, and Cade seeks to take advantage of those opportunities for play with bold physical action and creatively high-flying vocal gymnastics to create characters that are authentically irrational.

This spontaneity, however, comes with the pre-requisite of deliberate and specific script analysis to ground his characters in objectives and stakes that humanize and motivate the characters he plays. He has been referred to as a very smart actor who combines his knowledge of his characters and his own self to form a being that encompasses both at the same time.

That said, he also recognizes that acting does not exist in a vacuum, and that great work comes from collaboration on the stage. You can often find Cade meditating before performances to open his mind and body to all that surrounds him in performance, resulting in a laser focus on scene partners and active listening that creates true and authentic reactions from unanticipated moment to unanticipated moment.
